Inspirational thought: From Gods Heart to Mine to Yours
For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth......Now No chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Hebrews 12: verse 6 and 11 KJV
The Meaning, as interpreted to me: God is telling us that those whom He loves He chastens, corrects, and rebukes. He cares too much to let us do whatever we want without consequences. There are also times when we may have done nothing to deserve what is happening to us (remember Job).
But when we are tried and tested and remain faithful while still giving thanks to God, it makes God look good and He is pleased.
No, it's never pleasant at the time, at least it's not pleasant for me, but if we allow ourselves to be groomed for greater things and trained through chastisement, rebuke and correction it will result in the fruit of peace in our souls and righteousness in our hearts.
And He does not leave us alone to endure the test. If we ask He will give us the strength to see it through and be there with us. His strength, not ours.
And every now and then God allows a ray of sunshine to beam forth. And every now and then He allows us to reach the high ground, just to remind us that He is still there for us and in control.
So I encourage you to lift up the hands that hang down, and the feeble knees. It is because you are valuable that the tests, trails and chastening come.
Be determined to not give up. Remember a Just Man (Male and Female created He Them) falleth seven times but gets back up. We will make it through.
